Podcasting

Using the directories, I found a site on book reviews. I opened my blog and chose the Design tab. I added a gadget for the RSS feed. Back to the book review podcast I looked for an RSS feed button but couldn't find one so I clicked on share with a friend and an email message screen opened. I copied the url which was in the email and pasted it into my blog and hit SAVE. It showed up and when I clicked on it, it started talking. How cool is that.

Google Docs

Now this will be really useful!! I have no problem seeing this as a helpful office tool. And fun too.

Maybe I'm getting this...

I've now added my own blog to my iGoogle page. So now I have to repeat the RSS thing using my own blog. I guess the "feeding" thing would be good if I want to follow a specific kind of information without looking for it every time or if I wanted to know what someone specific was blogging about without going and checking their blog every hour. I wonder if there is anyone I know who has such wonderful thoughts that I'd ever want to do that!!!

Argh!....

OK, I set up the feeds and I think I added my blog as an RSS feed, but I was just following the words of the commands, not really knowing why I was doing what I was doing...so maybe I missed something. Or maybe it was because I had alreadyy added Blogger to my iGoogle? or maybe it was because I'm going on vacation in 3 sleeps and I just couldn't concentrate properly...or maybe...

adding my Blog page to my iGoogle

Yeah, it worked. I created a tab for Blogging and added the BLOGGER site as a gadget so now I don't have to bookmark the BLOGGER site. (Way too many bookmarks in my life)

Have registered my blog with 23things people-I think.

23 things

Thing 2 - creating blog and posting. Done. Have already learned that the Blogger service doesn't come up when I login to IGoogle. Wonder if I can make that happen. Blogging might be fun.
Thing 1 was building IGoogle, that was a lot of fun! Gadgets galore. Finally had to stop scrolling or there would've been more.

23 things is a great way to get familiar with Web 2.0 applications, I like the way it talks about the application and then gives you a chance to play, customize, embellish.
